CLARKSVILLE, Ind. (WAVE) - A new, three-year contract between Clarksville leaders and the town’s police union was approved Tuesday night.

An unofficial agreement was announced by the Clarksville Fraternal Order of Police (F.O.P.) Lodge #144 on Aug. 19.

The term for the contract covers Jan. 1, 2025 to Dec. 31, 2027.

Officers will receive a base salary of $66,000 for 2025, $69,000 for 2026, and $73,500 for 2027.

According to our partners at the News and Tribune, the current base salary at CPD prior to Tuesday’s meeting is $55,850.24.

Changes to longevity begin in 2026, starting at 1.5% per year and capping at 37.5% at 25 years. Officers will receive their first longevity at the completion
