The family of a toddler battling blood cancer are in a race against time to fundraise £100,000 for lifesaving treatment. ‌

Little Isla Johnstone, three, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia - the adult version of the disease - while on holiday in Romania in August 2023. Her dad, Tom, and mum, Georgeta Ionita, from Glasgow, rushed her to a doctor after she lost her appetite and suddenly started bruising across her body. ‌

A blood test later revealed she had cancer . Brave Isla has since endured multiple rounds of intense chemotherapy, bone marrow aspirations, two stem cell transplants and an experimental CAR-T cell therapy. ‌

Although she pulled through each gruelling procedure, the cancer returned each time.
