Citizen tips help Brantford police take impaired drivers off the road!

A driver provided breath samples that were more than four times over the legal limit after he was stopped by Brantford police following a collision on Friday (Aug. 29).

Police were notified of a crash at the Wayne Gretzky Parkway – Colborne Street intersection at about 1:40 p.m. Officers were told that a vehicle involved in the collision had left the scene.

Police subsequently located and stopped the suspect vehicle in the area of Market Street and Grey Street. Open alcohol containers were seen and the driver showed signs of impairment, police said.
