Hello Tuesday!

Here's the latest from TheEastsiderLA.com .

This is your Hello Monday editor, Barry Lank. The city of Los Angeles turns 244 years old this week. On Sept. 4, 1781, 44 people settled in what is now Downtown, beginning El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles sobre el Río Porciúncula . Granted, some pobladores may have already started working some of that land in late July. But Sept. 4 seems to be the main start date.

Here's what else you need to know this week.
