Timothy Lawrence Thompson was born Nov. 25, 1950 in Bozeman, Montana, to Keith Orvis and Frances Chisholm Thompson. He passed away Aug. 11, 2025, due to complications of Parkinson’s disease.

Tim was born and raised in Montana where he raised hell whenever he could. He lived on his parents’ small farm right next to his grandpa’s farm in Jefferson County, Montana. He was very close to his grandpa and had many happy memories of time spent with him. He went to school in many places in Montana and hated every minute of it. He eventually dropped out of high school in Havre, Montana, and went to work on the oil rigs in eastern Montana.

Shortly after turning 18, he received his draft notice from Uncle Sam and served a full tour of duty including 14 months and 5 day
