GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - The Grand Island Police Department is investigating a three-way vehicle crash at the intersection of South Locust Street and Highway 34 that occurred late Tuesday night, blocking traffic for around an hour.
According to GIPD, they got the call at 10:10 p.m. for a three-vehicle crash. Officers at the scene observed one vehicle that was flipped over, while two others received minor damage.
No one was transported to the hospital at the scene via ambulance, though KSNB has communicated with one of the drivers who is receiving medical treatment for injuries related to the crash at a local hospital.
The southbound lane of S Locust St. was closed from Woodland Drive to Highway 34, while the wreckage was being cleared.
