Nearly two years after a gunman's shooting spree killed 18 people in Lewiston, Maine survivors and family members of the victims are formally suing the United States.
A group of 100 people impacted by the Oct. 2023 mass shooting filed a federal lawsuit in U.S. District Court Wednesday morning against the U.S. Army, the Department of Defense, and the Keller Army Community Hospital, where the gunman, Robert Card, was admitted for a mental health evaluation 6 weeks before carrying out the attack.
