The annual Olympic Peninsula Air Affaire and Sequim Valley Fly-In, held Saturday, Aug. 30 at Sequim Valley Airport, once again drew families, flight enthusiasts and those looking for some carefree fun on Labor Day weekend.

The event, which took place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., offered antique plane exhibitions, a classic car show, tethered hot air balloon rides, helicopter rides, remote control aircraft displays, aerial demonstrations, and aviation crafts.

Along with the mild weather, attendees were also able to enjoy food and live music.

Dave Woodcock, left, with Warbirds of America, shows Robert Hackett a Piper L-4H scout that flew missions in World War II, including the Battle of the Bulge, the bloodiest battle for U.S. forces in WWII, as Rebekka Hackett reads about the plane’s history.
