A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 95 and Avenue 7E, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The crash was reported at 11:04 a.m. and prompted a full closure of the intersection, with traffic rerouted at Avenue 7E and Araby Road, as well as South Avenue 8E. The roadway was reopened to traffic around 1:30 p.m.

DPS confirmed the motorcyclist was the sole fatality in the crash. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.

The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office provided assistance at the scene.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation. No further details were available as of Tuesday afternoon.
