SMYRNA, Ga. — A person died early Wednesday morning in an apartment fire in Smyrna, officials said.

Little information about the fire or the victim was immediately available. It happened at the address for the Bella 810 apartments along Windy Hill Road, near Campbell High School.

Lt. Evan McBrayer with Smyrna Fire said the call came in around 4:15 a.m. The victim was located during firefighting operations.

An investigation has been turned over to the fire marhsal's office, Lt. McBrayer said.
