CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The woman accused of murdering a toddler at the North Olmsted Giant Eagle will face a judge Wednesday afternoon for a pre-trial hearing.

Last month, the attorney for Bionca Ellis filed a motion to change her plea to not guilty by reason of insanity. In February, she was found competent to stand trial.

Ellis is accused of stabbing three-year-old Julian Wood to death in the parking lot of the North Olmsted Giant Eagle on June 3, 2024.

Julian was with his mother, Margot when they were attacked.

Margot was also injured, but survived.
