The busy Marsalis brothers rarely play together. But three of them — with a fourth present in spirit — will share a stage to honor their late father and raise funds for the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra’s educational and community outreach programs.

Saxophonist Branford Marsalis, trombonist Delfeayo Marsalis and drummer/vibraphonist Jason Marsalis are on the bill for the LPO's “A Tribute to Ellis Marsalis Jr.” concert at the Orpheum Theater on Saturday, Sept. 6.

Trumpeter Wynton Marsalis will not participate directly in the show, but his “Swing Symphony” will be performed by the LPO and his brothers Delfeayo and Jason.

The program also includes “The Fourth Autumn,” composed by their father Ellis Jr.
