Queen Trini Lisa has become a local favorite for Caribbean food in Mid-City, with chef Lisa Nelson's Trinbagonian soul food earning a spot in The New York Times' list of best New Orleans restaurants.

TikTok food critic Mr Chimetime said Queen Trini Lisa has the best food in New Orleans and was among his favorite Trinbagonian meals, competing with New York retaurants.

In a review posted earlier this week, the influencer, whose real name is Rashad Mooreman, was blown away as he chowed down on jerk and curry chicken, a coco bread fried fish sandwich, and the restaurant's famous doubles — flatbread filled with curried chickpeas.

"They're cooking with the blood of Jesus back there," Mooreman said.
