FRESNO, California — Ady Perez, a 26-year-old from Fresno, was sentenced to five years in prison for possessing over 40 grams of fentanyl with intent to distribute. The sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge Jennifer L. Thurston, according to U.S. Attorney Eric Grant.

This case resulted from an investigation conducted by the Fresno Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration. The prosecution was led by Assistant U.S. Attorney Cody S. Chapple and Assistant U.S. Attorney Arin Heinz.
