CENTER POINT, Ala. ( WBRC ) - The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a homicide in Center Point.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as Patrick Cornelius Carter, Jr. He was 35 and lived in Center Point.

The shooting happened in the 2300 block of 2nd Place NE on Sept. 2 around 9:11 p.m.
