It has been a week since Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce broke the internet with their Instagram post announcing that the power couple had gotten engaged. The 14-time Grammy winner and 3-time Super Bowl champ have been together just over two years, and Kelce surprised Swift with a romantic proposal last Tuesday. The announcement is now the ninth-most liked Instagram post with 36 million likes.
This is the first New Heights podcast episode since the engagement went public, and we got a little more information and a lot more gushing enthusiasm from the Kansas City tight end. "It's been really fun telling everyone who I'm going to be spending the rest of my life with," Kelce said of his engagement.
Kelce and Swift made their first engaged appearance at the Cincinnati-Nebraska college football game at Arrowhead Stadium last week, and that gave him a chance to try out the new title. "At the game, actually, it was my first time introducing Taylor as my fiancée to a few of my teammates."
"I still get giddy," Kelce said of being engaged. "It's exciting times."
Exciting times might be a bit of an understatement as Swift has her 12th studio album -- The Life Of A Showgirl -- dropping on October 3.
