Another day of sunny, dry skies for the Pikes Peak Region is on the forecast Wednesday. Skies could turn slightly hazy as northwest winds bring in smoke from wildfires in Canada.

The dry skies are anticipated for the next 12-24 hours and will evaporate any expected rain from an incoming cold front, according to Gazette news partner KOAA. The cold front will bring gusty winds to the Plains, with an expected range between 15-30 mph.

"It's not going to cool us down temperature-wise," said KOAA Meteorologist Alan Rose. "Any threats of rain statewide look to stay fairly west of I-25."
