A "prolific offender" who has been jailed in El Paso County 26 times was arrested again after he and his accomplice allegedly broke into a residence in an unincorporated part of the county overnight Sunday, authorities said.

Two individuals were reportedly seen breaking into a residence in the 300 block of Loomis Avenue in the Stratmoor Hills neighborhood around 12:30 a.m., according to news release from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office. The caller told authorities that a man and a woman had been walking around the home, which is under renovation, prior to entering.

Deputies arrived to the home and found the suspects inside, arresting them without incident.
