A quarter mile around the 3800 block of Chia Drive is under a shelter in place order by the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, according to a notice by the office on Peak Alerts.

The alert advises residents to stay away from doors and windows while law enforcement activity is ongoing. An additional alert will be sent once the order is lifted.
