A dentist allegedly killed his wife, their 15-year-old daughter and then himself in a suspected murder-suicide at their home on Glen Castle Court in the St. Ives neighborhood of Johns Creek, Ga., at around 4:00 p.m. local time on Sunday, Aug. 31

"Preliminary investigation indicates this was a domestic-related murder-suicide," a Johns Creek PD said in a statement shared with PEOPLE. "The suspect in this case is believed to be James Choi"

“This tragic incident has deeply affected not only the family and neighbors, but our entire community,” Johns Creek Police Chief Mark J. Mitchell added in the statement
