A murder accused could face a trial next year after appearing in court charged in connection with the death of a 28-year-old dad.
Martin Davies, 35, is accused of the murder of Kailem Gibson. Emergency services responded to reports of a stabbing on Gilmerton Drive, Newton Heath, on Friday, August 29.
Mr Gibson died the following day. Mr Davies appeared at Manchester Crown Court earlier today (Wednesday, September 3).
He was not asked to enter a plea to the charge. A trial was scheduled for February next year, with a further pre-trial hearing set for November.
