DALLAS — The Dallas Mavericks are investing in P.J. Washington.

The 27-year-old forward agreed to a four-year, $90 million contract extension, ESPN reported on Wednesday.

Washington was entering the final year of his current deal and is set to make $14 million this upcoming season, according to Spotrac. His contract extension would keep him in Dallas through the 2029-2030 season.

Washington, who was acquired by the Mavericks in a trade with the Charlotte Hornets at the 2024 deadline, averaged 16.4 points per game and 8.7 rebounds in 2024-2025. He was also a defensive stalwart for Dallas, and he's been a thorn in the side of the Oklahoma City Thunder, especially during the Mavericks' NBA Finals run two seasons ago.
