REDSTONE TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

The parents of five children are under arrest after authorities say they were locked into a room that "functioned as a dungeon."

Authorities were called to a home in Redstone Township, Fayette County following the report of children between the ages of five and 14 living in deplorable conditions. Advertisement

"It's sickening, that's the only word that I can use to describe what we saw and what those children went through," Ally Wilson with Pennsylvania State Police said.

Inside the home, troopers say they found boarded up windows, feces covering walls, fleas, limited food and clothing, and no beds.
