CBSA officers have derailed a whopping $42 million worth of cocaine flooding into Canada in two separate busts, the agency said in a news release.

According to the CBSA, the seizures occurred one day apart at the Blue Water Bridge port of entry in Point Edward, near Sarnia, in early August.

On Aug. 13, a commercial truck arriving from the U.S. at the Blue Water Bridge was referred for a secondary examination. During the trailer inspection, CBSA officers discovered suspected cocaine hidden in six boxes. The total weight of the narcotics was 150 kilos, with an estimated street value of $18.8 million.

Gurjeet Singh, 28, of Brampton, was arrested and transferred along with the narcotics to the custody of the RCMP.
