President Donald Trump 's immigration approval rating has fallen to a second-term low.

According to polling by Morning Consult, Trump's net approval rating on the policy area is + 4 percentage points, the lowest the pollsters have measured since he retook office in January. This means that during his second term, his approval rating for this theme has dropped by 7 percentage points.

Speaking to Newsweek , Heath Brown, an associate professor of public policy at City University of New York, said in part:"I don't think this will impact Trump at this point, but views on immigration are proving more nuanced than the President has discussed them."
