BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Greg Daniels saw the ups and downs of creating a television series where a documentary crew is capturing every moment with the Emmy-winning “The Office.” Having a crew immortalize life at Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch opened up the actors to speak to the camera. The only problem was once the format was established, they had to make sure a camera was in the room or at least could capture the action through a window.

Daniels says, “There’s a lot of times where we have to say, ‘Well, that would be great, but I don’t know how they’re going to get that shot.’ You know, how did they know to be there?”

Not only has Daniels gone back to the format that worked so well and gave him so many headaches, but with his new Peacock series “The Paper,” the same documentary
