Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a white-tailed deer Tuesday in Chester County.
It occurred in the area of Downingtown Pike (Route 322) east of Romig Road in Chester’s West Bradford Township, according to a news release from state police at Embreeville.
A vehicle headed east on Downingtown Pike struck a deer that had entered the two-lane road surrounded by forested land.
This caused the deer to be thrown into the windshield of a westbound vehicle, fatally injuring a juvenile male front-seat passenger, police said.
Investigators were trying to identify the first vehicle, believed to be a black Toyota Sienna with heavy front-end damage, according to the release.
The release did not identify the victim. Fox 29 in Philadelphia quotes Malvern Preparatory
