SNELLVILLE, Ga. — A student was hospitalized Wednesday morning after being stabbed during a fight at South Gwinnett High School, according to school officials.
Principal Rodney Jordan confirmed the incident in a letter sent to parents. He said that shortly before 7 a.m., two students became involved in a fight. A third student, who attempted to break up the altercation, was stabbed.
The injured student was transported to a hospital and is expected to recover.
"I think they were mad about some beef that was happening, and like they were just beefing out," said one student. "Then they started fighting, and then one of the dudes got slammed a little bit, but both of them fell.
