SAGINAW, MI — Officials are investigating after an unoccupied Saginaw house was the scene of two fires several hours apart.

Crews were dispatched to the first fire at 2142 Ledyard St. at 12:43 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3. They arrived within a minute and found heavy fire emanating from the front of the one-story house, said Saginaw Fire Chief Brandon Hausbeck.

Firefighters quelled the blaze within an hour and cleared the scene, but were dispatched back to the house at 4:17 a.m. They arrived at 4:21 a.m. to the sight of heavy fire coming from the rear of the building, Hausbeck said.

Crews again extinguished the fire and left the scene after about two hours. No injuries were suffered in either instance.
