The singer divorced Offset — her husband of six years and father of her children Kulture, Wave and Blossom — amid ongoing rumors he was unfaithful. The pair married in 2017 after having their first date in February of the same year. They announced they were expecting Kulture that year, and she was born in July 2018.

The pair welcomed son Wave in September 2021. Cardi announced she was expecting their third baby, Blossom, one day after she filed for divorce from the rapper for a second time.
