A season after transferring from UCLA and waiting in the wings behind Dillon Gabriel, the redshirt sophomore took over at quarterback and completed 18 of 23 passes for 213 yards and three touchdowns in No. 5 Oregon's 59-13 win against Montana State on Aug. 30.
