By the time the television season ended earlier in the year, it proved to be a difficult time for fans of the action-packed procedural drama, S.W.A.T. After eight seasons and surviving a couple of cancellations, the CBS procedural was canceled for a third time. While hope remained within the fandom that the show would survive for a third time, that ultimately didn't materialize. While not exactly not what fans wanted, S.W.A.T. will survive through a spin-off in development that will see Shemar Moore return to his starring role as Hondo. Moore's character, Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson, currently remains the only cast member set to return for SWAT Exiles . To help facilitate the show's success, it might be valuable to find ways to bring back original cast members from the CBS serie
