Detroit Tigers right-hander Keider Montero has arrived.
The Tigers called up Montero from Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday, Sept. 3, before the finale of the three-game series against the New York Mets at Comerica Park, replacing right-handed reliever Chris Paddack .
But Paddack isn't expected to be gone for long.
Paddack has been placed on the bereavement list after the death of a family member , which allows him to miss a minimum of three days and a max of seven. He is eligible to return to the Tigers at any point between Sept. 6 and Sept. 10, but he plans to return after the minimum of three days. If so, he will be back for the second of three games against the Chicago White Sox at Comerica Park. GOING HOME: Chris Paddack, moved to bullpen, leaves Tigers after death in famil
