U.S. Authorities Seize Massive Shipment of Methamphetamine Precursors

In a major blow to international drug trafficking, U.S. law enforcement agencies have announced the seizure of over 700,000 pounds of precursor chemicals used to produce methamphetamine. The two shipments, originating from China and bound for the Sinaloa cartel in Mexico, were intercepted on the high seas, a move made possible by the recent designation of the cartel as a foreign terrorist organization.

U.S. Attorney Janine Pirro, speaking at a press conference, described the seizure as a significant victory in the undeclared war on America by foreign drug cartels.
