The Friends of Big Bear Valley (FOBBV) eagle nest cameras have quickly gained popularity among thousands of viewers across the country. The livestream follows the daily lives of two beloved bald eagles, Jackie and Shadow, who this year welcomed two babies, Sunny and Gizmo, into the nest.

In late June, both juveniles suddenly disappeared, leaving fans concerned. Many speculated that Fourth of July fireworks may have kept them away, sparking wider conversations about the impact of fireworks on wildlife and whether they should be banned in sensitive habitats .

Since then, FOBBV fans have been anxiously hoping for Sunny and Gizmo’s safe return. Now, a recent update from the organization suggests that one of the young eagles may have revisited the nest – and fans are overjoyed.
