Sean Kingston is opening up about his next move after he was sentenced to serve over three years in prison.

In an interview 103.5 The Beat's Papa Keith posted on Wednesday, September 3, the "Beautiful Girls" singer said he feels more connected to God after he and his mother, Janice Turner, were convicted of wire fraud charges. Kingston, born Kisean Anderson, said he "needed this" to "get back on the right track." In addition to improving his life, Kingston also said he spent a lot of time in the studio before he was sentenced and plans to release some new music soon.

"I got so much records in the vault," Kingston said while on the phone in prison. "Right now, I'm sitting on, like, 30-40 records. Before I got sentenced, I made sure I was in the studio every day working hard.
