SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- Buster Keaton thought his 1924 parody of Sherlock Holmes was just "alright," according to one biography. But over a century later, film critics deem "Sherlock Jr." a classic of Keaton's signature slapstick style.
You can watch the film with a live score at Le Moyne College's Performing Arts Center at 7:15 p.m., on Sept. 9. The plot involves a daydreaming movie projectionist, played by Keaton, who doubles as an amateur detective.
The score is new and composed by Syracuse University music professor Nic Scherzinger. Audiences can learn more from Scherzinger himself at a question-and-answer session following the screening.
Tickets for the show go for $20 general admission, $15 for senior citizens, free for Le Moyne and SU students, and free for anyone under 18. Y
