Montana is about to get a whole lot funnier.
Nate Bargatze, the stand-up comedian who has shot from reliable club comic to "SNL" scene stealing superstar in the last few years, is performing twice in Montana in the new year — at the Adams Center in Missoula on Saturday, Jan. 17, and at Billings' First Interstate Arena at MetraPark on Sunday, Jan. 18.
The state has one true comedy club — Last Best Comedy in Bozeman — but the Bargatze dates are part of a wider trend that's bringing comedy to some of Montana's biggest venues.
The 7,500 seat Adams Center is also featuring comedian and podcaster Bert Kreischer on Oct. 10. And the 12,000 seats at First Interstate Arena have already hosted Kreischer's podcast cohost Tom Segura (The Machine himself performed at the venue in 2022) earlier this y
