MISSOULA — Grayson Pibal was hooked on Montana from the start.

That began when the long snapper came to Missoula for a campus tour while in high school. He reached out to recruiting coordinator Justin Green to find out how he could be recruited and learned he had to attend a summer camp.

He gladly returned and caught the eye of head coach Bobby Hauck. The offer eventually came for Pibal, who had already been lured in and now kicks off his senior season when the Griz host Central Washington at 6 p.m. Saturday.

"When I came here, I'm like this is where I want to be," he said. "There's a river going through the university. I can go over to that bridge and fish. Yeah, I think I want to go here."

That river is the Clark Fork River, which is just over a football field's length away from Wash
