FULTON COUNTY, Ga. - Fulton County Commissioners once again faced pressure Wednesday to approve two republican nominees to the county’s election board as a legal battle brews.

What we know:

In a 5 to 2, party-line vote, Fulton County Board of Commissioners tabled the appointments of Julie Adams and Jason Frazier while the legal process works itself out.

The two republicans on the commission were against holding off on another vote for now while the five democrats voted in favor of it.

Why you should care:

Adams and Frazier’s nominations have sparked a legal battle with a judge ordering the commission to seat them and imposing a $10,000 day fine for noncompliance.

That penalty is currently on hold pending appeal.
