Despite signing to the practice squad with the Pittsburgh Steelers after his first release, veteran Robert Woods is aiming to join an active roster. According to the breaking news, Woods reportedly requested his release this time around, which is no surprise, as he feels like he has some gas left in the tank. The Steelers have plenty of depth in their receiver core group between DK Metcalf, Roman Wilson, Calvin Austin and Scotty Miller. However, they're lacking a true No. 2 option alongside Metcalf, and they didn't view Woods in that category.
