The heartbroken family of a young woman have thanked people for staying with her as she lay dying in a car crash.

Natasha Thorp, 21, known as ‘Tash’, was fatally struck at about midnight on August 22 in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, and pronounced dead at the scene.

Another woman was found with a leg injury and two men were subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Natasha’s family paid an emotional tribute to their late daughter and thanked those who remained with her at the scene on Brassington Avenue.

‘Going forward without her is so hard to imagine,’ they said in a joint statement.

‘To know Natasha was to know a life filled with love, laughter, and joy.

‘It was a privilege to know her as a part of our family or as a friend.’
