TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - The Tucson Police Department has identified the motorcyclist involved in a serious crash that happened on Aug. 31 on the eastside of Tucson.

Drake Edward Gemrose, 28, was identified as the motorcyclist in the fatal crash that occurred around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and North Kolb Road.

Gemrose was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries on Sunday and passed away on Sept. 1.

TPD said the incident happened when the Prius, driven by a 65-year-old woman, attempted a left turn into a shopping center and collided with Gemrose, who was traveling north on Kolb Road. The 65-year-old driver stopped immediately and cooperated with authorities. She was not impaired and received a citation, according to TPD.
