It doesn't look like Detroit will be going back to the 80s anytime soon, at least temperature-wise.

After reaching into the 80s on Tuesday and Wednesday, Detroit's forecast for the rest of the week calls for temperatures to hover in the high 60s, according to the National Weather Service.

Wednesday is expected to be breezy and warm with the high temperature reaching about 83 degrees in the city, the agency said. The average monthly high temperature in Detroit in September is 74.4 degrees, and September's average monthly low temperature in the city is 55.5 degrees.

The service also predicts showers and isolated storms on Wednesday afternoon. Most of the rain should fall between 5 p.m. and 1 a.m. Thursday, it said.
