The Ector County Library has just begun the Library of Things — allowing patrons to borrow things they may only need once or twice like gardening tools or pressure washers.

Library Director Howard Marks said the Library of Things just started.

“We’re going to start taking donations, and we’re going to build up the collection over time, so it’s just really at its infancy,” Marks said.

He said they were talking about things they could do for the library and realized there are things that people need that they don’t necessarily have the money to buy and they may only need it once or twice. It also gives people a chance to try something out before they buy it.
