Scoring goals was no problem for the Odessa Jackalopes last season.

It was the team’s defending that was the biggest issue.

Now, with a reinforced defense and a team that has more size, Odessa Jackalopes head coach Scott Deur is optimistic going into this season.

“It’s pretty exciting,” Deur said. “We have 32 guys at camp. We’re a little bit bigger this year which is something new our fans will notice. The excitement level is pretty high. The guys are moving their feet and creating plays. We’ve had a lot of scrimmages. There’s been a lot of battles which is good to see.”

The Jackalopes will begin their 2025 season Sept. 19 at El Paso.
