Aside from R.L. Turner, Frisco Wakeland was the only team out of District 12-5A that was able to pick up two wins in as many matches across the last week, moving to 13-4. That began Friday with a 3-1 home victory over McKinney Boyd (25-16, 25-22, 24-26, 25-20).

Seniors Emerson Jones and Hannah Lee combined for 27 kills, five different Lady Wolverines had two aces apiece, and senior libero Aubree Fernandez had 32 serves received and 24 digs, while senior Gillian Dickerson and Jacey Rogers combined for 50 assists.
