Some water is back in the system in Conception Bay South, but Mayor Darrin Bent is concerned about pressure on the lines as people return home from work around suppertime today.
The system is not yet back to where it has to be for emergency services such as firefighting, and he is asking people to conserve where possible. He says they need a few more hours to continue the refilling of tanks and reservoirs before they can lift the State of Emergency in CBS.
“While the State of Emergency is on our businesses can’t open and of course that’s hurtful to them. We want to get them open as quickly as possible, but more so, we want to ensure that we get the pressure in the lines and the amount of water in reserve that we need, so that we can respond to emergency situations with our fire departmen
