Call it a "labor" of admiration and appreciation. The Hugh Cole Elementary School Parent/Teacher Organization gathered families at the building Labor Day evening, Monday, Sept. 1, for a "Chalk the Walk" event.

The 2025-26 term the following morning Tuesday morning, Sept. 2.

The night prior, the Hugh Cole PTO urged students to come by and decorate the sidewalk along the entrance of the school and at the rear bus drop-off location with "encouraging" messages.

A healthy amount of families took up the chance to participate, with students leaving such inspirational words like "Dream it, Achieve it" and "Have a great time."
