CYPRESS HILLS — A MAN DRIVING A MOTORCYCLE and his female passenger were both killed in a collision with an SUV in Cypress Hills at roughly 8:10 p.m. on Monday, police said. An investigation by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad determined that a 2021 Mercedes Benz SUV, operated by a 66-year-old man, was traveling eastbound on Atlantic Avenue and began to make a left turn onto northbound Elton Street.

At the same time, a 2025 Harley Davidson motorcycle, operated by Cypress Hills resident Reinaldo Rodriguez, 42, was traveling westbound on Atlantic Avenue approaching the intersection of Elton Street when it struck the rear passenger side of the Mercedes, causing Rodriguez and his passenger, Bedford-Stuyvesant resident Mirella Vega, 42, to be ejected from the motorcy
